Manning Adventist Bush School is committed to the health and wellbeing of each student through our Pastoral Care. We focus on developing character values and shaping holistic teaching and learning. For instance, we conduct:
- Chapel every Tuesday 9-10am by the School Chaplain where parents and friends are encouraged to join in.
- Project-Based Learning (PBL) where students strengthen their interpersonal skills by working together in groups.
- Bush School every Tuesday afternoon where 2 hours is dedicated to ‘green time’ and no ‘screen time’ in the property’s lush bushland.
This results in all MABS staff being active in relationship building between students, school and home. Subsequently we work with students in conflict resolution and mentoring, and play a significant role in counselling students in the area of behavioural management. Therefore the Bush School program is an integral part of our Pastoral Care.
MABS is strongly focused on holistic education. Our sense of community provides students with a superior educational opportunity in The Manning. Through the values-based educational program and Bush School, we build resilient children who are equipped to make a difference in their world.
